Yeah iw as wondering when something like that would turn up. I've been considering writing up a breif list of genre/sub-genre/sub-sub-genre discriptions and listing bands/albums that fit each style or are important in that area. If theres enough interest I'll do it.
Oh and for anyone interested in checking out Death Metal there are a number of styles out there. But the following bands have proved to be interesting to listen to; Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel, Immolation, Portal, Stargazer (well its a mix of Death and Black Metal) and remember if you listen to Cannibal Corpse do so with a grain or truck load of salt.
